Woodchuck is a little dude - the size of the dog and he stands his ground! Owner should keep his dog away and leave the critter alone

Oh my god groundhogs really are aggressive or courageous or just won't give up! But it should still catch up to the level of thinkin of at least say the smallest breed of dog. Or else he might already be ended upon the next dog encounter

@use2slam2 Thats pretty cool. one day your dog will escape the property, and it will attack something and end up getting seriously hurt, or killed for it. Just because your dog can kill native wildlife, doesn't mean you should allow to do so. And you think your dog will never ever escape, and kill something off the property, you just wait. Where I live we shoot dogs like that. It is your fault if your dog kills something, you are the one who allows it do it. You are responsible for your dog.

I just went through this today with 2 goldens but mine got the wood chuck injured it. Thank god neighbor was there and we chased the woodchuck away. Believe punctured leg. I just didn't want to have to dispose of yet another dead animal in my yard. Sigh...

i live in a rural area,my 68lb Bull Terrier kills woodchucks, cats, and has a couple of fox kills. i don't like it but he's just keeping our property free of pests(and yes cats are pests)as my dog NEVER leaves our property and goes onto anyone else's. local cat owners let their cats go where ever,so blame them not my dog. if he were to go onto another property and something happened to him that would be MY fault. don't want your animal injured/killed keepm it on YOUR property !
@BELLABEARBEAR and anyone else worried about the woodchuck: It's not my dog, it was in it's own back yard where I had just mowed the lawn. The owner was inside and nobody would have stopped it if I wasn't there. I had to stop filming to get the dog away, so of course you couldn't see me do it. Also, right after this I caught the woodchuck in a 50 gallon bucket (surprisingly easy) and relocated it to a nice spot down by the river where it now lives with a bunch of other woodchucks.
