I think that Nate will recognize Blair is in trouble, and be there for her. The relationship will start of as platonic, and then they fall back into a romantic relationship seeking familiarity and comfort. Later, N sees that CB have an intense bond, and out of panic, asks B to move in. I think that will be the wake up call for both of them, that this is taking in the prospect of getting serious, and NB recognize that they love each other, but they are in love with others.
