  • I think the reason he died at 62. He never forgave himself because of the deaths of his friend Buddy Holly and The Big Bopper. He should have been on that plane. Waylon said after the concert that he bought a couple of hot dogs for him and Buddy. When he got to the hanger, Buddy said, "I heard that you aren't going up with us tonight." Waylon said "Yeah". Buddy Holly was like "Well, I hope your ole bus freezes up." Waylon was like "I hope your plane crashes." I understand why he turned to drugs.

  • Sometimes it's ok to forget everything else in the world. A perfect, simple, selfish pleasure.

  • Hoss recorded this song??? Damn Waymore- you NAILED it!!!! Ol' Waylon really was a singing son-of-a-b*#@h!!!!

First concert I ever seen was a Waylon concert, I sure wish this new generation of kids could go see ol' Waylon and get schooled on what music is really about.

  • It has become one of the most recorded songs of the 20th century, by some estimates having spawned over 500 versions in hundreds of different languages. SAYS WIKI :) ♥
