Photorec is part of Testdisk and versions are available for both Linux and Windows. It is an incredible powerful tool for recovering lost files when you accidentally format over a partition or an entire drive. This tutorial will walk through the process of using Photorec to recover data from a mistakenly formatted drive.

  • @vid4ken I have tried the PhotoRec scanned for 3 day's don't think that's normal at all!

  • @vid4ken a Friends Photo's his Tosiba Lap top crashed and he wants his Photo's out of it to bad he didn't make a back up !!!

  • Excellent video! Helped me go thru the process quite quickly. I downloaded PRec as part of UBCD (ISO) in case Windows gets corrupted, and let me tell you, it did a really nice job. The mini tutorial on how to organize the recovered files is a nice addition too. Great work.
