funny you use the word psycopathic. i hope you arent allowed to own firearms.

Heroism doesn't always come by defending justice through conflict. Sometimes this is exactly the kind of message that will do the most good.

While I don't agree with every thing Sgt. Thomas said in the heat of passion and anger. I do see where his anger comes from. As you said, no matter how good you are, it's a matter of numbers. Attacking a cop (bad or good) will get you a beat down. Depending on where he grew up we can be sure Sgt. Thomas knows that. As Ghandi said " Be willing to die for what you believe in, but never be willing to kill for it." The second your willing to do violence, you can be sure violence will be done to you.

I've seen your videos your just a Bitch,Nuff Said.

This man did do his time overseas, which may have personally corrupted his mindset, but if I were in that situation I would have done the same thing. Going about it the violent way, is not always the best answer. This is not personally attacking you, for that is not what I wish to do. But simply stating my opinion, as well as you did. He did what he could, within his own willpower.
-
In all honesty, your views on this matter are in fact respectable. But... what he did was right, and somewhat in a way heroic. I know that he did "sit and watch the beating", but he also did stand up for what is right. Although he did take the violent and absurd approach, he still stood up for his country and people. CAN THIS GUY MAKE UP HIS MIND ON WHAT HE REALLY WANTS TO TALK ABOUT!!!!!....RETARD!!!

@MARIJUANA41011 My intentions weren't to insult you, simply to enlighen you. You talk about how we're such complete strangers, which, undoubtably, is true; though you speak about the Marine as if you're friends! Do you hang out with this guy? You made this video about someone you don't know, but your critic is wrong? How do you know that I'm not that Marine Sergeant? Look at it this way, I AM a complete stranger, so try not to let it bother you too bad; I wouldn't want you beating on any cops!

You have *A* perspective that is correct and that is the nature of the Sgt Thomas and the NYPD. Permit me. Sgt T said "These are American citizens!" Which to all who heard means,"We stick together, we don't hurt each other." A bad cop, as you say, may have changed his thinking in a good way after that. What he was teaching is it's not OK to be a bully and in our society, a lot of people become that to each other. They want to be stopped but they don't know how. Don't hurt the bully, love him.

@akirafactor Hahahahaha, oh damn. That was mean.

@Sylinic Yeah, fuq your mother for aborting the fetus and raising the placenta, you.

Wow nice tattoos. If your trying to look like an asshole you nailed it!

Taken from Marines.com. The oath of a Marine: "I do solemnly swear that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies FOREIGN and DOMESTIC..."
I think that he is doing that by standing up for a 1st Amendment:
People may assemble in public places. These are areas supported by tax dollars where people normally gather. They include parks, streets, sidewalks, city halls, state capitol buildings, and national monuments. Edwards v. South Carolina (1963)

Constructive criticism: Personal attacks (known as ad hominem) rather than addressing the validity of their argument leaves you with no credibility. You want to appeal to three things: Ethos (show your own credibility), Pathos (have an emotional connection to your audience), Logos (show logical connections).
Logos - It seems you believe @ 6:40 that the point of this was to answer violence w/ violence.
Ethos - Who are you and why do we care to listen to you? Name calling builds no credibility.
-
@akirafactor OH THAT WAS CLEVER WHAT YOU DID THERE.
Fucking idiot, fail conspiracist.
-
@Sylinic Yeah, tell your god to shut the fuck up some more.
Occupy Wallstreet, managed by the rejects out of ACORN and the likes of Moveon.org. The domains were even registered by UN staff.

Yeah, for some reason this guy particularly pisses me off. Maybe cause he reminds me of that one guy at the bar that thinks he's the only badass in the room. He is dying for people to believe he is as bad as he says he is. He also desperately wants to believe it himself.

Soldiersgo thousands of hours of repetitious training to react instinctively in a given situation. Have you been vigorously training to fight multiple people at once? No. You have trained to fight one person in a sanctioned and safe environment. The worst you will ever feel in that forum is a broken limb, not death. Your rant like a dumbass and you don't even have adrenaline as an excuse. You can talk all you want about what you would have done, but no body can ever say until it has happened
-
You're using the word psychopathic entirely incorrectly. A psychopath kills with no remorse. You also claim that the war must have fucked up his mind. War doesn't make psychopaths. Psychopaths come out of war with no symptoms of ptsd despite brutally violent encounters. You inflate your own ego by training to fight. You have never killed anyone. You shouldn't speak of things that you have no experience in. Soldiers are trained to kill now and feel bad later.

Weirdo

how much meth does this guy smoke?

I Agree with alot of what you say if that means anything? But what do you think people like you should do meaning military? Shoudent our National Gaured stop or at least patrol these movements(people) I mean the system is screwed 4 sure. The Police should be watched by the Sherriffs & all of them should not be taking & acting on orders to hurt peaseful people.I mean the orders come from some one? Follow the money,It always ends up with greed power &hate, then insanity that hurts others.
To say that he has no honor, is really disrespectful. He was doing what he could, without getting himself into trouble.

Also, your view of heroism is shortsighted and irrational. Was MLK Jr. not a hero when he watched people beaten by police and stood by non-violently only to address the entire nation later? Sgt. Thomas may or may not have known at the time that his impact and message would be louder, clearer and more widely heard through a public verbal confrontation later, but it certainly was. I think it's hard to deny that people have been saved from further beatings and more attention has been payed.

@matth614491 "Was MLK Jr. not a hero when he watched people beaten by police and stood by non-violently only to address the entire nation later?"
Yes: he was not. I take the supposed Islamic approach: if you save one person, it is as if you saved the entire world. We should not stand by, in the face of injustice, so to comment on it later.

"I think it's hard to deny that people have been saved from further beatings and more attention has been payed."
Think, instead, of the forgone defense of the other victims: if those others don't matter, for the sake of a later message, then no future victims matter either.
"He said 'if you want to hurt people, go to Iraq.' I understand how you could view those words as psychopathic."
Good...because it is quite obvious.

"I really do understand. I think that adrenaline-induced speech is imprecise."
As are adrenaline-induced actions. Regardless, neither should be tolerated, when they are--as they were--psychopathic. How about this: "if you want to hurt people, go to the US."
"I think his point was 'if you think you're tough, go to a place where protesters want to kill you.'"
And I say that his point was, if you want to hurt--even kill--protesters then go kill Iraqis or Afghanis. #StopPretending.
