Richter is genial!!!

I'm glad I chose this for grade 8 now, it's so beautiful..

Controlled, thoughtful, balanced, heartfelt, but most of all, beautiful.

The best performance of this piece i've ever heard! Any purist would say this is far too slow for an adagio but so many people play this piece too fast!

A wonderful lesson for those that pedal on the beat and using correctly 1/2 pedal. Watch his right foot starting at 4:00 it's a great visual lesson on playing a melody line smoothly.....and it's not easy!

Dare to play this jewel fast. This is how it goes right into the heart. A contribution of a fabulous pianist to a fabulous composer.
