You're right, the movie "It" was TERRIBLE, but the book was great

Bjorn is right, the movie is absolutely HORRIBLE, but the books is GREAT! You have got to give it a chance, it takes a long while to get into the book, but once you do, you won't be sorry

Read the book and don't judge a 1990 censored mini-series that was on ABC; almost as bad and unfair as a comparison of 89 Batman and The Dark Knight. People thought it was scary back in 1990. Psycho and Friday the 13th aren't scary anymore.
Books tend to hold up better compared to films. 1 example of many: Clockwork Orange movie doesn't hold up but the book does. Lastly, Stephen King adaptations suck most of the time. They need better directors like Kubrick and De Palma.
