advanced lightning tutorial after effects Part 1 of 2

Lightning made easy! Still get that professional look seen on movies and tv shows but it is way less work for you as the animator. Yes, this tutorial is to show you that you don't need to add so many layers and compositions and effects to make lightning look good, I also explain how to make lightning move naturally instead of using the wave distortion.

@ii1RONx Try checking/unchecking "Direct Composite" in the lightning effect.

@krzStopmotions you need to hit control+d to make a new timeline then drag the new where you want to see the lightinging apear and got to the end of the timeline and drag it to where you want it to stop if that doesnt help watch my on it its a lot newer

When I try to export the video, I don't have as many options as you. Is that only in the full version? I need the AVI. option, but I do't have it. Someone please make a trouble shooting video on exporting or someone reply but PLEASE send me a message when you do or else I wont see it! If it makes you any more eager to help me I will also add as friend and subscribe to who ever helps me! @krzStopmotions To set when the lightning starts, go to where you want it to start, then press alt and [ at the same time. For the ending, press alt and ].

can anyone help me! I know how to do lightning effects and compose of origin etc. But why does lightning not visible when it was release on the PURE WHITE BLANK background. what are the adjusted color or glow to make it appear on a white screen.
