The Fluval Edge aquarium system is a very popular desktop aquarium of 23 Liter capacity (6 U.S. Gallons) that comes complete with pedestal, filter and halogen lighting system included. These popular aquarium sets have been set up and used to house both small freshwater tropical fish as well as such marine specimens as seahorses, small fish and invertebrates such as starfish and shrimp.

The unit is a sealed tank with clear glass top that allows a unique view of the fish from all angles and the halogen lighting strongly illuminates the central area of the aquarium bottom for live plants and even hardy corals. The electronic components are covered with a meshed cover that come in three colour choices, black, pewter and orange.

Filtration is provided by the Fluval Edge Filter, the Insert style clip-on filter provides good current - from 33 - 100 gallons per hour, depending on the setting of the flow control. The waterfall return ensures there is no problem with oxygen in the aquarium.




Since there is a pedestal integrated into the system that provides the support for the tank, no dedicated aquarium stand is required for the tank's stability. The pedestal also integrates into the rear column that is used to support the halogen light bar and enclose and disguise the various electrical wires.
