  • now way...drag radials or something...i hate to even be skeptical..but thats like ....damn.

  • Haha no drag radials. I heated the shit out of the stock tires though. They gripped very well when warmed up. And then a quick slip of the clutch at around 3000 rpms.

  • jamie furman 10.99 all stock z06,ranger 10.85 stock z06 on drag radials.Verified by track officials in both cases.

  • You know the ZO6 is an LS7 right, which is a 7.0L V8? The LS3 is the 6.2L V8 with about 70 hp less. But yes, the ZO6 is definitely faster stock for stock lol

  • From what I have read on the corvette forums, there was some tuning issues that would keep this car from being 'showroom stock', or at least in my opinion it would. Supposedly he put a custom tune in the car, then removed the tune, but did he totally remove the complete tune? It's a great run, but not 'showroom stock'.

  • Yes, I totally removed the tune. I wanted to do an experiment to see the differences.

Unfortunately smoked the clutch for the two runs after when I put the tune back on. Had to get off the throttle, pull the clutch off of the floor, then back on it. Ran 11.8s at 121 mph... which was just about 2 mph faster than the stock tune.... which is great for having to get off the throttle completely. The only people who are skeptical really don't understand how the computer tuning works. oh well : /

  • Aha, a track in an area known for rare VERY LOW density altitude from Sept to April... DA for the day of this run was 1220 feet BELOW sealevel... at a track that's already near sealevel... DA this low is like adding 50 hp to any car...This kind of DA is found in few areas of the U.S. No skeptisisum here... Just know that in a real world environment with more realistic DA and such , that your car will run 12.4's @ 115 stock... with a really really good driver...

  • @BLACKLACDTS Its not looking that way. Unfortunately the C7 Vette is going to have a smaller engine, somewhere around 5.5L But I've heard that the power is supposed to stay about the same.

  • crazy shit brotha!!

  • why is everybody comparing this car to a z06? this not a ls7 car!! ls3 !!!

  • @yourguess10538ole There are those who say that if you had a mod and took it off regardless of what it was, the car is no longer stock. They did that to the #1 bone stock 1/4 mile list on Camaro 5 who took the tune off of his otherwise bone stock car and ran a 12.58. But, some don't understand that when you tune the computer, you save an exact replica of the factory tune to the programmer. When you reinstall it, it has the exact factory tuneback in place and is once again bone stock.

  • great run! im curious to whats next for the vettes. will we see 500 hp z51s and 605hp z06s?

  • @SUPERBADKBOY 10.85 is rangers time on drag radials for a c6 z06.

  • @camirocz There's no real way for a track official to "verify" if the car was stock or not. But by the reputations of both drivers I believe they were infact stock vehicles.

  • 1.83 60'? that's impressive!

  • Fast Time With No Drag Radials And The Fastest Time For A C6 Zo6 With No Drag Radials Is 10.85@128Mph The C6 Zr1 Is 10.73@132Mph With No Drag Radials..Type In If You Want To See RangerC6Zo6
