Mir was one tough lady and the russians are some tough guys keeping there heads cool like that. Most people would probably panic and do somthing stupid :I.
Let us hope that they make a new one in the future even better than the Mir :D.

@DgenerationX12345 one of the russians claimed to have suffered a third degree burn to his arm, but it was denied by both the russian space program and nasa apparently

I found the source - it's an episode of BBC Horizon called "Mir mortals", which aired in 1998.
