Is this battle hard? Yes, hard to the extent it makes all previous battles in this challenge look like a walk in the park. You should be attentive and know what you're doing, as Heckran is no laughing matter, especially in his final form.

The first part of the battle (the first 5+ minutes of the video) is not too hard. Everyone, including poor Crono, casts spells and heals each other. Heckran is idle most of this part. When he does that pose, stop attacking him and heal if needed. Once you see "brief counterattack break", continue doing what you've been doing. Crono will die, however, since in the second part of the fight EVERY attack will one-hit KO him, there's no point in reviving him, so let him lie there.

The second part is a different case. You can ONLY allow yourself to cast a spell at him during his counterattack break. He longer loafs around, so his attacks are much more threatening and the gaps between the attacks are so tiny that another strategy is needed.

Therefore, during his brief counterattack break, have only ONE girl cast a spell. The other must be prepared to heal whoever gets hit with the first Cyclone, so that the second girl can heal the consequences of the other Cyclone coming to you.

Remember, two Cyclones are equal to death and this is the last thing we want.

His attack pattern during the normal form is: bubble, bubble, cyclone, counter, break; and during the final - cyclone, cyclone, quick hit, counter, TINY break.

Be careful and have a lot of Mid Tonics and you should do it. I did after about 7 or 8 attempts, no save states used.

  • so u are only going to use crono, lucca and marle right?

  • No...

  • This seems like one of the hardest ones for a low level game but at least Magic can still do decent damage when you're that low.

  • Well, Lucca does have a decent magic power. You should have seen the damage Crono does with Lightning 2/Luminaire though, it's laughable!

  • Oh, I just finished this game for the first time 10 minutes ago, umm.. whose Triple tech is that Auto life thing?

  • Crono, Marle and Robo.

  • I just pass it... It was quite fucking hard for a "amateur" of rpgs! Try to kill the monster only with the two girls using their combinated attack and ALWAYS HEAL

  • I also had to redo the battle more that once.

But thats only because after Lucca or Marle got hit by Cyclone towards the end of the battle I tried to use a Mid Tonic.

However I had Heckran use Cyclone on the same party member before I could use the Mid Tonic killing Lucca/Marle easily but I had zero revive items.

Yes at the time I had the battle speed set to its slowest setting when I had Lucca or Marle die before I could use a Mid Tonic though I did have 20+ Mid tonics.

  • Once you get Wallet, you can master characters' skills easily. To have any chances in that battle in an LLG, the triple technique that casts Reraise/Auto-Phoenix/whatever you call it, is crucial. It's not that easy though.

  • Yeah, that's what I meant, so you will never fight for EXP. But is the final boss seriously possible, cause I can't win with over 40 level party, well I'm a CT noob, but still...
