dolphin kicking on back, working on good whole body undulation getting hips up to surface and keeping small tight kicks. These kicks in the video are slightly larger than i would normally like though.

  • did u wanna join a swim team? cause it is sooo hard i just joined and we just finished our first week and it is like brutal!!

  • I would not say that the knees should be locked straight. Nor that I am doing a perfect dolphin in this video by far! I have yet to have an incredibly fast dolphin kick time.

I would recommend you checking out the videos on youtube with misty hyman and other great dolphin kickers. I will say that whiplike movements/undulation look to be very important as well as moving your body in the most streamlined path while creating propulsion!

  • Your knees are suppose to be locked straight and they have to do the same movement in order to move faster.

  • Wow Im only looking at this just to see what I am missing but yes I really ought to get going swimming again it all still looks so fun but I had to quit because me were moving house! :(

  • grr wish i could do that

  • This is a stupid question, but I"m trying to learn this stroke. Are your knees suppose to be locked straight or loose?
