Fallout 3 Lucky 8 Ball

- The Lucky 8 Ball can be obtained by healing the injured Timebomb in Big Town (Red´s clinic).
- It has a weight of 1 and increases Luck stat by 1 point (up to a maximum of 10) as long as it is carried in the inventory. If you drop it (including storing it in a locker in your house) you will "no longer feel lucky," and the luck bonus will be removed until you pick it up again.
- Even though it is a stat increase, your stat will not show the normal so it will help you meet perk requirements.
- To be able to get it you must save Timebomb's life by performing an operation on him in the Big Town clinic, save Red, and help Big Town survive the Super Mutant attack at the end of Big Trouble in Big Town. The next time you see him, he'll thank you and give you his Lucky 8 Ball.
- If you disarm the bomb in Megaton, there is a chance one of the Megaton settlers will give you this item as a gift.(It happens very rarely.)
- The luck 1 effect is not written in your Pipboy.

You actually don't have to do the mission or save anybody to get this item. I get the ball right after I performed the surgery on him when I first discovered Big Town. I was just exploring the town, found Timebomb, performed the surgery, and he woke up and when I talked to him later outside he gave me the lucky 8 ball. I didn't even know about saving Red or the other guy until after I saved Timebomb.

You're still acting as if Sticky (the Annoying Fan-esque character) is the one who gives you the ball. Timebomb, the NPC who gives it to you, is an entirely different character.

@chargerfighter1 still not worth it if you wanna directly walk to Big Town, so the moment i stepped out of Little lamplight i fast traveled and after i got the ball, i killed him. It may be evil but it is Fall Out XD

That's a different character entirely, you know. Sticky is an optional temporary companion you take to Big Town, while Timebomb there, who gives you the Ball, is just some random other NPC you can help.
