Pennsylvania will choose its 46th Governor in 2010, electing a successor to Democrat Ed Rendell who is constitutionally prohibited from seeking a third term in office.
To help Pennsylvania AARP members make an informed voting decision, AARP PA hosted a series of interviews with the Democrats and Republicans campaigning for the job. The candidates appeared individually and answered the same series of questions posed by 25 AARP volunteer leaders from throughout the state on important issues like the state pension crisis, property taxes, long-term care funding, consumer protection and government integrity. The interviews offer a great opportunity to compare notes on the candidates by assessing their positions on issues important to older Pennsylvanians and their families before voting in the state's May 18 primary election.
This video segment features Tom Corbett.
Republican candidate Tom Corbett is from Pittsburgh and is currently serving as Pennsylvania Attorney General.
