In this Microlecture, Jason de Wilde shows us how to record an entire drum kit with just a single microphone. The mike technique is called the Tchad Blake method, and using a single cardoid microphone (in this case a Rode K2), Jason is able to record a kit that well-balanced and professional sounding. This video is best heard with headphones on.
