This is a problem that plagues the majority of manual Hondas. It's been addressed, if your vehicle is still under powertrain warranty (5 year 60k miles(yes both)) any Honda dealership will fix it for free.

@boredouttamind can that apply on any si? i have ep3 and we all know ep3s 2nd gear is not smooth, it doesnt pop out or anything just not smooth.

rev the car to atleat 3500 rpm or up shift to 3rd gear when you hit 29mph..this will help you shift better and this what is says in the drivers manual for our car..if you still having problem go and replace your transmission oil with amsoil transmission fluid..

@KelleyJi did u get it fixed?

hey bro...i had a 06 fg2 and i had the same thing happen to me...i thought the first time it happened i grinded the hell out of the gears and that was the reason why it was doing that. unfortunately i totaled the 06 and bought a gti...now i went back to the fg2 2010 model and i don't have that problem anymore. i guess they fixed it in the 09-10 models from what i'm reading...you still have that problem??

I have the exact same problem, Is there a fix for this? I drive a 06 Si

@krazykarlfensley Has a Honda tech that couldn't duplicate the problem that so many of us are having, watched this video or any like videos?
-
I have a TWM SS and RP MTF and I haven't had anymore problems w/ my FA5, so far. I have looked into replacing all the synchros w/ aftermarket carbon coated ones as well.

OMG i think i see the problem here.... you're pressing the clutch at the same time as you change gear.... see 2:46
i own an si.. this car is designed to shift at 4500-5000 rpm. i was watching you shift, and you should be more deliberate in your shift to 3rd. yes it does pop at lower rpm but not when its near 5000, which is the way you should be driving an si

that's what I tried before.. but it does pop out at higher rpm too.. which sucks.
it is just much less chances poping out.
thanks for your comment. :)
