Why do you tell a kid his brain is tiny and simple right out of the shoot? Some kind of boot-camp approach? Instead of "Unfortunately" you could have just as easily led the 2nd sentence with "Fortunately you have been equipped with the most sophisticated thinking device in the known universe, the human brain". This statement is true and I think kids are more likely to want to use their brains if they are fascinated and proud to possess one. ...Just sayin'.

I don't think we're putting down kids at all, rather highlighting the complexity of the universe and the awesome challenge we've got getting to understand it - and we are getting to understand it.

As for 'boot-camp' - the message we hope we've put out from these videos is think/critique/analyse the world. Sorry you drew the opposite conclusion from the opening line in the first video.

Hey, we've had others ask this question and the answer from the creator is no, permission is not granted. But we have had offers to translate the videos into other languages and we'd be happy to upload the transcript so provide other languages. As this is a government funded video the transcript just needs to be accredited. Is it Spainish you want? Because we have a transcript in the works for Spainish.

I also don't think you are putting down kids, but is the size of our brains really an unfortunate thing?

Very good, and not just for kids. Adults can use this too, since some of us were taught to think " magically", as in the psychological term " magical thinking". Like being asked to accept, on the say so of adults, that a person we do not know and who no one has ever seen, who lived thousands of years ago, died for our sins. If you are taught to believe that at 4, and you think you know the answers to lifes greatest questions, where is your logical thinking ability going to be?
