The term "investors" is getting thrown around a lot lately. I spent 20 years in the Army (enlisted). I never bought a new car. I ate beans when I could have had steak. I saved and invested. I accepted my losses along with gains. I do not have "more than I need" and I am tired of people who think playing the lottery is a good way to get rich of painting investors with a very, very broad paintbrush. Many of us don't want a bailout (I sure don't) so stop with the assumptions. I owe you nothing.
I can't believe there are still people accepting this bailout without question.
A $700 billion dollar package to aid the American people would come to almost $2300 for every man woman and child in the country. Meaning a family of five would receive $11,500. It could make a large, positive impact in millions of American lives.
Why are they giving it all to people that already have more money than they need for themselves (investors), and taking the money from everyone else to give it to them?
