at 1:22 you see this guy paste his hand to the cooktop next to the cast iron skillet.. DONT DO IT... Heat can transfer from the cookware TO the glass top and cause a SERIOUS BURN.... This is true if the pan has had time to heat and transfer the heat to the glass top.. (is why they have heat warning lights on these cooktops)
There are "some" copper cookware that work. Analon Copper (stainless clad) has a copper layer. ANY cookware that you can hold a magnet to and it sticks will work.. Carry a vinyl fridge magnet with you... if it sticks, it cooks.. (I own a Bosch unit)
Electrolux Icon E30IC75F[SS] Thermador CIT302D[S] GE Profile PHP900DM[BB] Kenmore (Sears) Elite 4280[0] Diva DDP-40 KitchenAid KICU508[S] Bosch NIT8053UC Viking Professional VCCU105-4B[SS] ] LG LCE30845 All are worth your hard-earned 1500-2000+$ investment. KitchenAid Gourmet Essentials Brushed Stainless cookware is recommended to use with those bourgeois cooktops.
I understand that, I just got a bosch induction 4 burner cooktop. I'm remodeling my house. It was either a glass electric cooktop or induction cooktop. I personally hate the electric cooktop with radiant burners or whatever because the heat isn't even and even with those you have to have a perfectly flat pan. So I went with the bosch electric.
For anyone getting an induction, get the 5 year warranty as well because for a $2,000 + cooktop, they should have a warranty. lol
What are the best brands because I know there are a a good amount of companies out there that make these but they burn out within a year or a year and a few months.
Unhealthy food, unhealthy cooks.
