  • Bloomfield could look like he's havin' an off day.. but still the best guitar player ever. the pioneer who helped hendrix to fame, dylan to electric rock, santana too..

So sad that he's hasn't got the same recognition nowadays as those other guys..

heck, i'm 20 myself, so i have never seen him, but i learned to know him through my fathers music taste. now i love blues, and play it myself. but to really know where it started.. that does it for me.

    truely epic session.

  • Love the smile on Mud's face at the end!

  • @Docnolan1953 Great story. Muddy has always been one of my favorites, too.

  • Saw Muddy play at the Ritz in Elizabeth NJ about the same time....I was 21. Me and my friends got there early to buy tickets.... Muddy rolled up in a 3 Cadillac convoy. Being star struck, I went up to him and shook his hand and professed my love of his music. He was gracious....then said,

"Enough Hob nobbin' boy....Hep us out with this equipment."

I did......and was backstage for the whole show.....we later went to a local bar and drank a few.. One of the truly magic moments in my life.

  • Man.. Muddy has just got it... Gee...Bloomfield is icing on the cake. Would have loved to have been there!
