  • @ayasnaj  "overslept" means that you were so deeply asleep that you simply did not wake up in time (possibly not even hearing the alarm clock).

    "Slept in" means that you woke up in time but deliberately stayed in bed dozing.

  • As noted by @ayasnaj, "overslept" is not wrong but it is not synonymous with "slept in". "Overslept" is commonly used throughout the US. I'm not sure about Canada which is where, if I'm not mistaken, the video was prepared.
