@ClearEditing this has nothing in common with VideoCopilot's product "The Bullet". VC teaches you how to create a 3D bullet in a 3D software and then composite it in After Effects. It is a great tutorial but the whole technique is different from this.
My video was completely created inside of After Effects using flat layers animated in 3D space.

how did you made those bullet trails?

@FXMcweather You seriously need a tut for this?
-
yo could sync a little more the gunshot with the bullet. Add some spinning to the bullet as well, and apply some other distortion effect in the trajectory. The explosion looks weird and not real.
-
@BHIFilms You can buy airsoft guns with gas blowback (GBB) A bit more realistic look to it, with a price range from 60 to 150 USD.
-
nothing about this video is realistic or even eye catching..it sucks
-
the trigger pull isn't realistic.
-
i honestly thought that was real. omg
-
this sucks because its not realistic, im sure this was one of your first pieces, and hopefully you got better! the muzzle flare is to cartoonish and the bullet is just to sharp and perfect... where is your new stuff?

@Arniicko Displacement map

Needs more motion blur and speed ramps.
