  • Michael Crawford's voice is soothing, beguiling; it seduces, it caresses, it enthralls, and it is totally awesome. It does everything that the song states- and it puts his subject, Christine-(Sarah Brightman) completely under his control and influence. No one who hears this man sing this song can ever say anything other than this- he put his whole heart and soul into the phantom, and into the music. Michael ROCKED THAT ROLE!!!

  • @Nattyzeenha, the phantom is as studdly as any guy can be and gerard buttler is a good actor but not a great singer (Michael Crawford kicks his ass as phantom any day). also the phantom isn't supposted to look good, his music makes him more appealing and interesting.

  • @sexygal909 "Act more of a phantom than a singer" what does that even mean? The whole point of the Phantom is that he is an incredibly amazing singer. I think it's kind of dumb to criticize the original so heavily.

  • @TheChickadee8 totally agree!!!!!!couldn't have said it better myself.

  • Gerard truly captures the phantom as Emmy captures Christine

  • @nattyzeenha haha Genard Butler is very sexy, and is the greatest phantom there is.. All though I can't watch the movie without bursting into tears!:3

  • Eh I dislike this guys voice and his acting..he needs to be stronger, act more of a phantom than a singer. I am a genard butler fan because his voice was strong and acted more of a phantom. Sarah looked like she had a pig nose with no facial expression, but she does have a good voice. Christine as emma rossum was good also. Emma was beautiful with a magnificent voice for the movie:D

  • @csolo5 I agree. I never seen this play and would love to. I hate the way this Christine looks. She looks like a caraciature. I couldn't stomach the 2004 version because no disrespect to Gerard, the man couldn't sing but he did play a great phantom.

  • @nsyncforever8765 "The Phantom's mask is kind of weird"? The Phantom is sapose to look weird, he is deformed! "their voices aren't as strong" Its called singing LIVE! And the part was written for Sarah Brightman's voice. What you hear when with the movie is recording studio magic that makes every note exact. Gerard Butler was not bad, however, no one is can sing pefect every time LIVE! And if NSY*NC is your point of referance for voices, no wonder you don't know what you are talking about!

  • ;-)

  • Everyone is stuck on Crawford versus Butler and Brightman versus Rossum. You do realize they are not the only four people to play these roles right? There are countless others who are incredibly talented and deserve to be applauded for the performances they do night after night. You should just enjoy what each person brought to the character during the time they played them.

  • просто абалденное видео!:)))

    просто супер:))
