Welcome to BOOSTFIEND.com, the latest site (launched 11.06) for Ford Mustang, Car and Model event photo and high definitition video coverage in the Southern California area. While this site is geared more towards the Mustang enthusiasts, all types of shows and events will be covered. These range from Mustang events to Cars and Coffee (formerly Crystal Cove), D1 Grand Prix, RaceLegal at Qualcomm, AVN Adult Expo and everything else happening in the scene. The site is not just about coverage but also event culture.
I picked up my Mustang in 2002 and have been modifying it ever since then. I started off by building a flash based web site named BlueGT.com in August of 2003. It's been slowly added to over the past few years.
In December of 2005 I got my car back from getting repainted. I was going to a lot of events and was always taking pictures so I decided to start a site about it. I wanted a nice camera so I purchased a Nikon D80 DSLR and the Nikkor 18-200mm lens in late October of 2006. I have no formal photography training, I enjoy taking photos/video and attending car and model events so it's a matter of fun.
I also purchased a Sony HDV camcorder in July of 2006 that shoots 1920x1080 video. I capture the video with Cineform Connect HD and edit/render with Sony Vegas on my laptop. I use my other host, BlueGTVideos.com, to store the video files since they are rather large.
I was originally planning on naming the site with Ford in it but since they were suing on trademark infringment I came up with boostfiend. I built this site using Macromedia Dreamweaver, no content management system is used. I run the site myself; all of the content is taken by me and I update the content (which usually involves late nights). I pay for both site hosts; BOOSTFIEND is through LunarPages.com and BlueGTVideos is through GoDaddy.com.
About me...I'm a computer nerd. I work full time producing web based training using Macromedia Flash and do occasional freelance work. Feel free to drop me a line if you have any questions and thanks for visiting my site.
The song is by Canadian rockers Triumph and it's called "Child of the City." Yes, it does rock! I chose it for that reason!
