@kebab101 Welllll if GM didn't aquire Holden in 1931 and invest a billion dollars in the development of the Commodore then the Aussies wouldn't have this sexy car either.
I am thankful GM got it right and shipped this car to the states even if it was just for two short years.
-
@isaacb21 Like you said. Invested a billion dollars, meaning providing the capital for an Australian company to develop a car for them, which eventually was inducted into the Pontiac family.
GM aquired Saab not too long ago, you didnt see any changes in their lineup, meaning acquisition has nothing to do with development.

when both cars are automatic, I guess you don't have the driver error excuse.......
-
what type of rims are on the grey one??
-
@TheRiDeR4LiFe97 360 is the stock hp for the motor. That is not taking into consideration the drive train loss.
-
@isaacb21 how do you only have 350 rwhp after the tune when they have over 360 stock? did the superschips tuner make a big difference?
-
i wana kno wats the width on all the tires do u have a staggered fit on the back...and wat size are ur tires... 235/30/20? i seen dis video and it made me go out and by a g8 gt...tell me the color how much u lowerd it and every thing...im tryin to pu sum 20'in giovanna kilis on here...get bk wit me please

@isaacb21 Sensible smart move that. But I go past 150mph in my vette all the time and its fiberglass. Maybe I should stop too...

@onebadg8 No no no, this is where you are soooo wrong. I need to educate you now. The platform you are referring to is called the Zeta platform and it was engineered and is built by Holden Australia. The only North American car that currently runs on this platform which has independent multi-link rear suspension (an oddity for US cars haha) is the camaro which is basically a VE commodore with a different setup. The only american part in this car is the engine. Honestly, educate yourself first..
-
@onebadg8 Read the user name dumbass and you'll see there's nothing ricer about me or what i drive. If i wanted to see if i were faster than you, i'd challenge you to a fucking footrace idiot, but when i race i could care less who's the better driver, i wanna see who's car is faster! So take your typical hillbilly, stop light to stop light racing ass and do us all a favor and kill yourself. Oh and just so you know my SRT8 has plenty of torque for dig races, but i just dont dig those races, LAME
-
@mdr279 guess i should educate you. GM engineers designed all the platforms holden use. and holden uses GM designed and built Engines. Holden only does on its own the bodies and interior and other minor parts. about 70% of the car is from GM lol.

@isaacb21 heh dont buy into his crap man. top end is for cars that dont have the TQ to race from a dig or the driving ability and just want to depend on the car to do the driving heck even an auto takes some skill to launch with no TQ management.
@isaacb21 I gotta ask. What wheel brand, type and size are on the G8 that has the straight pipes. I'm trying to find them for my car! :)

Dude do you ever get out of 3rd gear when you race? Take it to the highway and open that thing up.
jcsrt8 9 months ago
@jcsrt8 . I race on the highway all the time, just rarely get it on video. There is one such video I have posted where I race a WS6. I don't see the point in going past 3rd as that takes me to 105mph. How fast do you need to go to see whos car will pull the other?
isaacb21 9 months ago
@isaacb21 Well we have different type of racing styles, i do top end runs only, if i dont hit at least 150mph, i dont really consider it a race because my car has so much more to give. I can do 105 going to the next stop sign, it doesnt do it for me, but to each his own. 3rd gear is 1/4 mile racing and you'd be surprised how many cars will walk right past you after the 1/4 mile and if thats what that car is geared for, then why not. JMO, wish you were in Atlanta, i'd get you take it to the top:)

@jcsrt8 I have seen 150 and I promised myself I wouldn't do that again. Something goes wrong at the speed and you are dead, and maybe anyone else around you. IMO any racing over 100mph requires a ton of power or some serious Aerodynamics along with weight savings. My Bolt on G8 only puts down 350 rwhp and consistent 12.84-12.89s on street tires. I simply don't have the power to push my 2 ton beast at those speeds. To each his own though, and more power to you if you can do it safely.
