This video demonstrates the capabillties of Aricent Holdings LTE UE L2 protcol stack. Protocol stack is complaint to 3gpp March 09 release.
In the video you can see L2 protocol stack EXE being launched with the help of Web Browser scripts and GUI.
Test Architecture is based on configuring PDCP,RLC,MAC via RRC stub . Hardware Tick generation ,PDCCH and PHICH decoding are done via PHY stub. After cofiguration data is pumped to PDCP tx via VLC player . As per the current UL grant recieved data passes through PDCP,RLC and MAC where MAC TB are constructed. This is fed to loopback module which converts the Tx data into DL DATA which passe through RLC and PDCP before it is delivered to another instance of VLC player ( capturing PDCP Rx data ) and playing the file locally.
Thus we had tested UL/DL HARQ functionality via our test setup with video streaming.
Thus you can view the input file being loopbacked via L2 stack .
Following are the features of the L1 simulator being used in this demo.
Option to test entire L2 (RLC/PDCP/MAC) or standalone MAC
Random CQI
Random Power Headroom
Simulated PDCCH/PHICH
Variable RRC configuration
GNUPLOT graphs for comparative analysis
