  • Tesla was the greatest man ever

  • It's a 3 phase motor which creates a spinning magnetic field. This moving field induces eddy currents in the object that drags it around with the field (slightly slower actually).

    It's exactly the same principle as induction motors, which Tesla invented.

  • @fishlube

    This technique is used to generate electricity, all the time, all over the world!

    The rotating egg is replaced with a rotating shaft, with something driving it, such as a steam turbine.

    the egg is called a rotor which rotates inside stator coils and generates 3 phase AC electrical power.

  • OK why the fuck can't that be used to make electricity!

    Tesla was a god! A shame society shunned his most of his ideas.

  • hes from my state :P inteligent Serbs :D

  • he was/is a great man

  • @CrazyAjvar @Caleidus The glow retreats, done is the day of toil;

    It yonder hastes, new fields of life exploring;

    Ah, that no wing can lift me from the soil

    Upon its track to follow, follow soaring!

    Nikola Tesla caused earthquakes in Alaska in 1899 after causing earthquakes in Manhattan so saith The Lord God. You better have this ear. Man made earthquakes. The hour is here. -Biblical Prophet

  • @CrazyAjvar Tesla stated that he invented induction motor in 1882 in his 1915 autobiography and just to show that he pre-dated Ferraris. Give me a piece of paper and I can u descibe how an induction motors works in just 20 seconds. Tesla was obsessed with being the 1st one and if had already invented AC motor in 1882 he would have surely pubblished a paper or patented it or given a public demonstration. Nothing of that happened. Tesla just lied and copied Ferraris.U're not a nice guy Nikola

  • @Caleidus That is still a statement not a proof. You dismiss that Tesla started developing induction motor starting in 1882 with out proof, you just say it: "that it is not true" and we should believe you? You can hate all you like but there is no proof of what you are saying. I guess you would argue that Tesla did not help in invention of radio, Tesla coil, fluorescent light, wireless transmission of electrical energy, remote control, Tesla's turbines and many more things?

  • @CrazyAjvar In 1885 Galileo Ferraris demonstrated in public that he had produced polyphase alternating current using a rotary magnetic device. That same year a line was constructed by the Ganz group in Cerchi, Italy to Rome that became the first system to transmit 150 horsepower at 2,000 volts of alternating current over a distance of seventeen miles.

    Photos of the early large Tesla motors at the Hagley Museum and Library are remarkably similar to the Ferraris models. by J. F. Metcalf
