Comically channeling the demise of great world empires, Colin Quinn uses his "articulate brand of comedy" in taking audiences through an uproarious history of the world in 75 minutes. From his personification of Caesar as the original Italian mobster to his complaints about Ancient Greece and Antigone giving way to Costco and Snooki, Quinn is at his satirical best, taking on the attitudes, appetites and bad habits that toppled the world's most powerful nations. Colin Quinn Long Story Short proves that throughout human history, the joke has always been on us.

  • Closest comedienne to GEorge Carlin.. I love the part about the pursuit of happiness and the drugs we take and the side effects--so funny and the part about the US having two choices you would think we had 50... loved it.. Thanks.. Colin. Those parts are not in this video.. but it is on the HBO special.

  • @cpu554 "switched back and forth thinking it might get better, but alas no"...Can I buy some pot from you?

  • full of historical discrepancies but very funny

  • Absolutely loved the show. True comic genius. Fricking hilarious.

  • @mrcitrus6 you know you just called George Carlin and Colin Quinn a woman right?

  • 0:38 One of my favorite lines ever.

  • I love his regular act,but this was pretty much Seinfeld material as Seinfeld produced the show.

I couldn't watch anymore than 5 minutes at a time.

I switched back and forth thinking it might get better, but alas no.

  • Very funny. He'd be even funnier if he didn't slur his words together so much.
