Unboxing, powering on and testing my new XIM3 in Black Ops. I hopped into my own server for a few minutes until I could get a sensitivity setting that was close to where I like it. It's going to take time to get the right setting, so don't feel bad if you are not as good as you are with your XIM2 in your first few games.

This review was done using the first Beta firmware and the old bugged Black Ops translator. Please check out my newer videos for gameplay footage using the new Beta smart translator.

If you need help setting up your XIM3 mouse settings, use my guide at http://www.xim3.com/community/index.php?topic=10479.0

  • is that a Sony GDM-FW900?

  • @fallios yeah. I love my FW900. I use it only for FPS's.

  • Hello, already tested in Battlefield 3?

I am trying to buy this device at the site of XIM3, I live in BRAZIL, and freight for my parents is absurd U $ 90.00 on average, know any other place that might sell? or value of the goods, is a mistake on the site?

    thank you

  • @JOneBRAL I have not tried it on BF3, but I am sure it works great. Check the forums. You can use a reshipper to have it shipped to you. I don't know too much about them, but you can find info about them in the forums.

  • How much lag is there?

  • @RefleX525 none really. I don't notice any.

  • do you find yourself doing better using the mouse?

  • @CEOrko And which human can determine the difference between 1 - 2ms? Also that's usually TV screens. I'm playing on a standard Samsung SyncMaster, and I can't tell the difference quite frankly. I feel no input lag at all, whether I'm playing on a PC or my PS3. I know those 1.6 players who believes they'll achieve better performance by demoting themselves to CRT monitors, and it's just really awkward. And even though you might get 'true' colors, it's still an analog signal being transmitted

  • @TocsDK

Input lag on CRTs is measured in nanoseconds, whereas LCDs and plasma displays can range anywhere from 1ms to 120ms depending on their screen quality and the amount of image processing applied. CRTs also reproduce colors more accurately, have wider viewing angles, and more or less do everything better than LCDs/plasmas outside of size, weight, and power consumption comparisons. The FW-900 itself is one of the best commercially-available desktop CRTs to have existed.

  • @TheBeelzebub Why would you play on a CRT monitor?

  • Holy shit Farscape baby havnt seen that show since i was like 13 wow time flies.

  • hey , i used to own a xim2 , using both xim , do you think i should get xim3 ? or stay on 2 ?! thanks
