  • as weird as this sounds im watching this cause i got a 2007 6.0L F-250 and your using the 1x1 method which i am very interested in.. so you just gave it 2 days to cool and emptied the oil in prior days? what was the temperature of the place? any recommendations when doing the head stud install

  • you should've used needle nose pilers pulling the head studs.

    ya the engine is running strong with the 1x1 method. we torqued each to 60 ft/lbs individually and then torqued all of them to 80ft/lbs once they were all installed. engine was completely cool and oil drained 2 days prior.

  • I just got a set of these head studs, super tech valvespring/retainers and a cosworth headgasket for my evo, how many lbs did you tighten down on the torque wrench on the head studs?
