  • Yes,thank, you. Your teacher is a distant relative. I had heard of her while studying the string bass with Rufus Reed when he was in Chicago. I now play the guitar and string bass with Charlie Shoemake in Cambria Ca.Check out my YouFoux channel I will be ading classical performances, also. Charlie was in George Shearings band in the 60,s and 70,s.

  • If she was 100 in 2008 and 80 when this interview was made, then she appeared on this show in 1988. I'm sure she would prefer if we got the dates right.

  • 1984

  • when was this interview done?

  • Wow, so great to finally see her. Our harp teacher took from her. Thanks for posing.

  • Alice Chalifoux - Jan. 22, 1908 - July 31, 2008. She will be remembered fondly and her presence will be sorely missed.

  • I am glad to finally see this. Now, I hope someone will post Lucile Lawrence's performance on the Firestone show (like they promised to do).

  • Thank you so much for posting this

  • Miss Chalifoux recently (January, 2008) celebrated her 100th birthday. She is still "lucid", remarkable and WONDERFUL. God bless Miss Chalifoux as He as blessed us with her. !
