King Cobra Caught in Local's Yard in Thailand

A 4 meter long king cobra was caught by the local Thailand snake catchers close to my house. What a POWERFUL snake this is man. The guy holds it's neck with one hand. They are very careless with this deadly snake. I was only 4-5 feet away. Maybe I'm the dumb one? Sorry, only nokia e71 phone video as it was totally unexpected to see this amazing poisonous snake.

@roygbiv330 because they're getting in the way - this guy obviously knows what the hell he's doing - the snake didn't get away -he was cautious to keep the snake from wrapping to get leverage to pull his head out of the guy's hand.

@robloxman66 Ideally you'd have a couple people that know what they're doing - and helping to hold it. This guy has nobody around him that was clued-in. Not even me.

I saw one of these on a trail but in Hong Kong , video does not do their size justice , I honestly thought it was a burmese python at first , thats just how huge these things are! It displayed no fear of our presence (probably becoz its an apex predator), just slithered away at a leisurely pace , what a sight !

@spiktan It's amazing how they are not concerned with people being close by. I got to within 1 meter of a 4 meter king - and it did nothing... it was when when I poked him in the arse that he turned around, hood flared and tried to get me. I damn near fell down 8 steps backing up.

Not the safest of containers to carry a snake like that. It could have nailed him several times when he had his hand on the cage.
