  • Juan Diego Florez is a good tenor, admire him for his excellent koluraturа technique and ornamentation, but in any case can not reach the level of Franco Corelli and William Matteuzzi!!!

  • @cmorgan22 Pavarotti had the D. It's the F that he went falsetto for. He was strained in a couple of notes -- but only the ones that Sutherland was singing with (over?) him.

They are both excellent tenors of different types.

  • As far as I'm concerned, Florez is the greatest operatic performer in a long time. Certainly no other singer matches his singing, acting, comedy, presence, humanity, beauty onstage. For someone who loves music, his performances are religious experiences! Once again, thanks Onegin65

  • FLORE FLOREZ FLOREZ FLOREZ ONLY FLOREZ HE IS THE BEST C EST LE MEILLEUR FLOREZ FLOREZ ONLY FLOREZ

  • Bellisimo timbre y extension asomborsa, ES EL MEJOR PARA IL PURITANI, UN VERDADERO Y MARAVILLOSO TENOR LIRICO LIGERO.

  • Well...I have the Pav. Sutherland disks and as good as Pav was in this role he didn't have a "D" and goes falsetto. Heard Chris Merrit in it live at the MET...he was very strained. Have heard Florez live many times. He is the "real meal deal." The notes just seem to flow out of him. No effort at all, and oh, the sound! Would love to have a recording of him in this role!

  • Thank you for posting this. I would give anything to have a voice so beautiful.
