No, actually. If you watch the whole episode, he's a talented chef, but the owner (the femmy guy with glasses) won't listen to him about improving the menu. What you're seeing is genuine anger at the owner's attitude, not the chef trying to impress Gordon.
I love Gordon's face at 2:33. I wouldn't have thought it possible to shock him like that.
