Fews hundred year ago, the abacus have 2 upper beads and 5 lower beads, it
then tranform into 1 upper beads and 4 lower beads which is commonly use
today. There are 34 set of formulas to master, with it as an foundation
pupil could solve multiplication, division,decimal point sums and even
square and cube root sum. After 1 or 2 year of practise, pupil can process
to the learning of mental arithmetic.

Soroban Education Centre has been providing abacus mental calculation
enrichment classes for primary school children since 1993. Our centre is
registered with the Ministry of Education, and we have been invited by
famous schools to conduct abacus lessons for both the students as well as
their teachers. We are proud to be the first and only one in the abacus
arena to get into The Guinness Book of World Record in 1999, 2005 & 2010
