Bill Withers (born July 4, 1938) is an American singer-songwriter who performed and recorded from 1970 until 1985. Some of his best-known songs are "Ain't No Sunshine," "Use Me," "Lovely Day," "Lean on Me", "Grandma's Hands", and "Just the Two of Us".

  • this song takes me back. Can't remember how far back. May have even heard this when I was in Vietnam. Songs like this one and stories as well as back to the world by Curtis Mayfield gave many of us in Vietnam some hope.

  • @looklookerlooking you could have gotten in my head and taken the words from me. I Shazam-ed this song also and saw it from the documentary. I don't know why I never heard it before. It's extremely moving and hits me in an indescribable way. It's a wonderful song. I love it. A true artist and songwriter.
