The Haka is a war challenge, it's a sign of aggression, strength and intimidation (and I love the Haka), so the fans respond usually with singing or sometimes a bit of booing...so basically the Kiwi's can have this macho aggressive challenge and it's ok, but as soon as a few England fans respond with their own noise "OMG that's terrible, worst fans ever"...can't take it, don't dish it

Then they were sent home to less than adoring fans /media and were basically the laughing stock of the entire Tournament ,They were also voted least liked team in the entire Tournament after incidents in bars and hotel rooms
