Ballet : Pirouette progress for Robbie from ages 10-12

From age 10 learning turns in coupe to starting to learn pirouettes en pointe at age 12- starting with a double. Yah so her arms need work and her core but she has years ahead of her RIGHT!! ;) The band is Yelle song is Ce jeu!

its amazing to see how you have improved over the past couple of years! i've been doing ballet since i was 4 and i am in intermediate now, but i still can't keep my balance on a pirouette! any advice??

@mooidk also keep your head straight in pirouette- no bobble head it will throw off your balance.

@jerrysch there actually are a few boys- but we need more! If they understood the ratio of boys to girls I think more would sign up - if they were smart! ;)

@mydancetv ya lol! Have her try suffolk solo lights @ her next fitting if they have them! Hard shank, mediumish vamp, and dont take 4ever 2 break in! Pointe shoes are so complicated, must find the perfect pair, and then once u found a perfect pair, ur feet grow!!!!!

@mydancetv lol i know right?!? Pointe shoes sometimes seem like the most complicated thing in the world. ;) must find the perfect one, find it, then your foot grows!!!! Have her try on suffolfk solo lights; they have a hard shank, and mediumish vamp, but they dont take 4ever 2 break in. I love them they are really good!
