Leave No Child Behind. Require Algebra for every kid by Gr. 8 whether they know the Times Table or not. Then force them into higher abstract-thinking courses like Geom & Alg II (rather than Math Literacy, Appl. or Bus. Math, Accounting, Personal Finance, etc.) when they are in high school, especially in decrepit inner-city schools with deficient, rowdy or violent students who are really up to it. When the kids fail Alg, let them take it again for free, multiple times, on the taxpayers' bill

Brings back memories of Square One TV. And it's not just like you're referencing it, you managed to capture the spirit with a new more adult twist. You should definitely make more of these.
