my wife and I are currently watching all of the winder years episodes together. We both grew up watching and loving this show. Now, many years later I love it for all the reasons that this show was popular. As we grow up and older I can't help but feel the true emotion behind songs like this, shows like the wonder years, and the messages they deliver.

this is best version of the song.

This IS a case where the cover blows the doors off the original. Judy does the absolute definitive reading of this Beatles chestnut. She perfectly captures the reflective, looking-back quality of the lyrics. The understated backing and vocals give more punch to the lyrics.

here are places, I remember,
all my life though some have changed
some forever, not for better
some are gone, and some remain
all these places have their meanings
with lovers and friends I still can recall,
some are dead and some are living...
in my life, I've loved them all.
Awesome song!

I'm a Beatles fan and saw them in NYC in '63. I agree with others that Judy does an awesome job with the song, and I introduced it to my repertoire after hearing her sing it.

First heard this song in 1965 by the Beatles. Then Judy aced them with her rendition. She gave soul to this song.
I like the Beatles more then Judy Collins but man her version of this song is simply flawless! Much better then the Beatles version in my opinion. I first heard it on an episode of the Wonder Years where Kevin was reminiscing of his memories with Winnie and the emotion of the song hits you so hard and just melts your heart. So powerful. So beautiful. It brought tears to my eyes.

Yes, this is the definitive In My Life. Even better than the Beatles original on the album Rubber Soul. Thousands feel this is the finest song ever written in the English language. I had 'heard' the Beatles sing it dozens of times, but when I HEARD Judy's version on the radio coming home from work, the tears just started flowing and I had to pull over and stop the car. It's full impact hit me for the first time. This song is simply magnificent.
