ENYALID - You have a right to your opinion. If someone tried to destroy your family I'm sure you would stand up and fight, I'm sure you wouldn't back down. This is why we are in the streets protesting...these are our families, our spouses, our children, our friends.

We are not asking for your acceptance or approval... we are demanding the fundamental rights given to all Americans. This is our country too!

Gay rights marches in San Francisco used to be angry, loud, with scarcely clad adult men in clown facepaint. Enough to make an entire generation of scared kids into homophobic adults that don't want people like that around kids. Those marches were scary, and were intended to be that way.

Had the marches been like those of Martin Luther King, Jr., or Susan B. Anthony, or Ghandi, or Nelson Mandella, there might have been fewer people with a knee-jerk reaction of distrust. Clowns can be scary.
