i grew up in the area...if you want to live a banal existence and be part of a homogeneous population, Ludington is the place for you! All of the creative and inspired types leave as soon as they can.

ludington is a really neat town. i live in grand rapids, and my family and i always make sure to stay a few nights there. good music selection btw

Our family and friends started to vacation in Ludington in 1963. It was only 250 miles away and was beautiful. I would say we have helped in part to the local economy, renting cottages and motel rooms, meals, clothes, gas, theaters and I mean the drive-in if anybody remembers that. What fun and Saturdays was $2.00 a car load. I spent my honeymoon there. Cheap bastard ain't I? I even had to rent the jail cell for a night, 1972. People seemed friendlier in the sixties. Very fond memories. THX LUD!

Lastly, I couldn't let your ignorant comment, don't worry I'll specify which one, about the "mayors checks." They actually come from the taxes paid by the citizens of Ludington. Tool.....

I live in Ludington as well and you statement about the "roads being paved only to the golf courses..." is absurd. Read a book, get a job, and get out of Ludington because evidently you have nothing worthwhile to say.

Well apparently you have some animosity towards tourists which understandable to a certain degree, however if you have a job in Ludington, chances are it partially if not completely relies on the tourists that you speak so negatively towards.
As for the skate park, you need money to build bud. No $=no skate park, so unless you want to fork over the several hundred thousand dollars it costs to build it, keep your trap shut.
