But today one must see in the future: we may not see ourselves more than "enemies" or fight against ourselves (Afghanistan, Iraq, etc.)

@pemacal Yes! I would like to say thank you to your Grandfather for his service against Bolschewism!! Many people do not know that the Waffen SS was not simply just another branch of the Wehrmacht, but a group of both German and Foreign Fighters! Most of them were Christians, but even Moslem Bosnians fought against the Bolschewichs in Jugoslawia! That is where my family is from, we are Christian Jugoslawians (From Novi Sad and Pec). Nice to see another very well educated historian!!
