Um...you are aware that they don't sell fertilized eggs at the supermarket, right? If it's not fertilized, there's no chick. So, yes, they can be part of an ovo-lacto vegetarian diet.

@KimonoHire Some baby chickens are black or have color patterns. And the is other colors too. But yeah, we mostly see the cute yellow ones, they're better for marketing.

This is not evolution. That is embryonic development. This has nothing to do with changes of inherited traits between generations.

I don't know about eggs being vegetarian, but they sure are delicious!
