Estimation of 5 million venezelans. Many Afro venezulans live in barlovento located in the Miranda state. While other African Decendents live throughout the country. Africans were takes to Venezuela between the 17th and 19th century to work on plantations.
Preseident Hugo Chavez of Venezuela has African heritage. here is a quote expressing his love for his ancestry.
"When we were children, we were told that we have a motherland, and that motherland was Spain. However, we have discovered later, in our lives, that as a matter of fact, we have several motherlands. And one of the greatest motherlands of all is no doubt, Africa. We love Africa. And every day we are much more aware of the roots we have in Africa... Racism is very characteristic of imperialism. Racism is very characteristic of capitalism. Katrina is—indeed, has a lot to do with racism–no doubt about it. Hate against me has a lot to do with racism. Because of my big mouth, because of my curly hair. And I’m so proud to have this mouth and this hair, because it’s African."

Muisc Featured in this Video is Llorras by Afro Venezulan singer Oscar De Leon.

  • @DavidOwenWard There is white colombians "andrew Kennedy" considers himself Colombian and he is pale as hell. In Argentina and Uruguay 97% are Europeans. Latin America is multicultural there's white, black and brown not just brown and black. Cameron Diaz is Cuban, Shakira is Colombian. Just because they are proud of their African ancestry and their Spanish culture doesn't mean they are part of african Americans. They are not African Americans and they dont have the same culture as AA.

  • @TheYakora Native Americans and Japanese Americans suffered to not just African Americans specially the Native Americans where's the thanks for that? Truth is sweetie your people are not the only ones who made civilizations.

  • @DavidOwenWard Your welcome.:)

  • @GingerBronze SHe' mixed but her featured are black.

  • @ralvarez15 OK THanks

  • @DavidOwenWard Yes. There are LOTS of white colombians. Colombia is not the U.S. U.S. has no say in who should be who.

  • what are the point of these videos? there all a product of the inferiority complex that is deep rooted in black people. what exactly are you proving and who are you trying to prove it too? "omg there are dark people in Venezuela :O !!!" you don't see any other race doing this

  • There is one race, it's called the human race. Black, white, they're words, heavily value-laden words, not skin colours, skin is all brown, the pigment melanin. Get with it people. As for beauty, in the eye of the beholder. These Venezuelan women, hot? hell yeah. I'd run away with any on of them. That's my pennethworth lol. Peace.

  • en primer lugar, estas personas no son venezualean africanos son Hebreos Israelitas que están escritas en la Biblia ... tergiversado

  • @freddydahlgoldstein

"Hopefully in time they will all be caramel coloured. "

I disagree. The darker the more beautiful. (I'm blonde)
