Cops are trained to assist paramedics. Not be a paramedic unless death may occur. They can not move a victim unless the car is burning or may cause death to the driver. Cpr is the farthest they go. And bandaging and small stuff like that.

@MegaMonkeyman76 It´s always better not to move a car accident victim until the neck is inmobilized to avoid any potential column injury. Just stay with the victim, try to calm him/her down and wait for the ambulance.

I don´t know if this procedure is standart in the US, but here in Spain is. So maybe the cop was following it.

ok, no disrespect to the law, but assuming she isnt trapped or pinned in the car, or injured to a point where it is better to not move about, shouldn't she be allowed to get out of the car at this point so she can get AWAY from the road?

@Skaramoosh5 I suppose you are one of those like my aunt who has only been in four wrecks her whole life and everytime it has been a man driving the other car. I wonder what causes four different guys to hit the same chic in four different locations, in four different cars? Perplexing I know. I find it odd myself. Most states laws if you hit a car in the rear it's your fault. What if feminine cluelessness caused other car to stop in an unexpected spot.
