Oh your comment totally makes sense now that you say that your a Chicago Fireman. I know a lot of FF in CFD (TWR 14, ENG 83, Truck 47, ENG 55) and none of those guys sound full of themselves. We're Brainwashed? I think your brainwashed thinking that your so much superior to everyone else. YOu just make yourself sound like an idiot. Your type of attitude gives CFD guys a bad name. We never go in, huh? Your an engineer! Well, anyways be safe and have fun driving to all the fires you go to.
I thank you for acknowledging my reply, It did take over 10 minutes for the FD to respond from the time that I called, however I suspect that this is because I called from my cell phone, which goes to a 911 call center, and the call needs to be transferred to the local 911 dispatch center, which takes a few minutes. Also I am man enough to apologize for calling you an idiot, it was unnecessary, and very small minded of me to attack back like that.
Clearly amstell, you are not a FF. How is the CFD superior to the suburbs? Because a small percentage of firehouses actually go to fires? Nobody's going to go into a structure on fire unless absolutely necessary. If you were a FF you would understand that.
Your right I had no right to slam you. I can guarantee you though, that It probably took, at the most 6 min to respond from the first call. Every hydrant in the surrounding area collapsed, except for 1, which definately contributed to a delay in putting water on the fire.
Ok, after checking my video camera timing, I see that the F.D. showed up 11 minutes after I first called, however due to the water problems, it took an additional 6 minutes to put water on the fire. So yes, I misspoke earlier. However, that does NOT give you the right to be derogatory to me, as mistakes happen. So as for your derogatory comments to me, go fuck yourself. Also, my friends, who you say I don't have, pointed this out to me, allowing me to be able to respond. Idiot.
The suburb departments do not fight fires like Chicago! The Chicago Fire Department is superior to these suburban departments! Most suburb departments won't go into a building to fight the fire. They almost always fight it from the outside. They can care less about the structure.
It didn't take the FD 15-20 mins to show up. It took less than 4 min from the 1st call that was placed. If noone calls, noone shows up. Also the hydrants collapsed and hundreds of feet of hose had to be laid to get water. Thats why there was problems with the water. Do some research before you make yourself sound like an idiot. You should stick to playing with your star wars figures and having no friends.
