Hakeem is the greatest defensive big man of all-time, Russell notwithstanding. Russell was awesome, but no one had quick hands like Dream. Russell was the originator of low-post intimidation, but Dream had physical talent that Russell didn't. When he was young, Dream could jump so quick that even if you faked him he could get back up and block your shot. Hakeem eats for free at Drexler's BBQ, that's all you gotta know...

There is a reason they called him Dream, and this is a fantastic example...If you built a center from the ground up you would end up with Hakeem Olajuwon.

Look at the "dream" go! Was always my fav in the NBA, no show boatin, no trash talk just pure skills and probably one of the best defensive games ever seen!
The MAN. I miss watching him play. To think he only learned the game when he came to Houston at age 19. No bigger man had better footwork ever.

Hakeem is the greatest center of all time! He dominated Ewing, Robinson and Shaq while leading the Rockets to two straight championships.
