I personally love it. I swear every time I see this car on the car road it catches my attention. Rental car? A rental car is an Accord or Camry. This car looks like it means business, and has a very luxurious appeal to it. I wouldn't mind owning this car . Read the consumer reviews on this car....the owners don't seem displeased at all.

I think this video was overly harsh but he was right about some things, for instance Ford really needs to bring up the quality of their interiors to compete with companies like Honda and now GM. It does seem like a bland, old persons car. But it is the saftest car in America and has good performance and it seemed like he just brushed over those points.

Funny how people are so upset about this video. You might not like what the guy have to say, but it's all true. Ford obsoleted the Taurus name, and replaced it with the 500 name. Then sales went way down because nobody knew what the hell is a 500, so they scrambled and changed the 500 name to a Taurus. But it's still ugly and bland. This car was a total marketing disaster for Ford. I am sure this car drives nice but look at all the competition in its class.

I'd have to disagree with this video. What about it being the safest car in America? A 0-60 of 6.8 secs. (Source: Car & Driver) doesn't really qualify as "no-frills" driving to me, that's not really that slow. I can get better fuel economy in my '08 than what is stated (Maybe I'm just a different driver). And I most certainly didn't have the feeling of driving away in a "rental car". I think this video doesn't really give the Taurus it's due credit. I'm happy with my purchase!
